After working for two days in poetry, drama, visual art and music, we put it all together in a presentation. I was in full producer/director mode :-)
As usual, Ken Turney started the day off with a devotion. We've used the Old Testament story about Hagar, the outcast, as a foundation for our work this week. These kids know what it feels like to be an outcast.
This is one of the students in rehearsal, sharing a poem she'd written.
I would love to post a lot more - plus video! - but the internet is just not cooperating tonight. We'll see if it perks up tomorrow.
Suffice it to say that after a dress rehearsal this morning, the students were ready for the performance after lunch. All the teachers, who have been in class with Hans Blom, were our audience, and they were a great audience, and of course all the students were audience members as well.
Signing off for now... hoping for better wifi tomorrow!!
